Falafel Recipe

​Ingre​​dients:

  • 1 cup chickpeas (drained)
  • 1 onion
  • Cilantro
  • 1 tsp chili pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp bla​ck pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1-2 tbsp flour

For Serving:

  • Freshly chopped parsley
  • Tahini sauce and a lemon

 

​​Method:

  1. Soak the chickpeas overnight and drain them.

  2. Combine onion, garlic, cilantro and all the spices together in a food processor.  Mix them well but keep the texture a bit. Add 1 tbsp of flour to give that dough effect.

  3. Make walnut-sized balls from the mixture and place them to the fridge for 2-3 hours.

  4. Heat the pan and add olive oil. Fry them until they become lightly golden.

  5. Serve with freshly chopped parsley, tahini sauce and a lemon.
