​The roots of muhammara belong to Middle East and it has been served as a rakı table mezze for a very long time. Taking its' rich taste from the pepper paste, muhammara is a great dip for spice lovers. Our recipe below will tell you how to make a tasty muhammara step by step:​​​​​​


• 1⁄2 bowl of walnuts

• 2-3 fried slices of bread

• 3 tbsp red pepper paste

• 2 tsp cumin

• Salt

• Garlic

• 1⁄2 lemon

• 3 tbsp olive oil


Crumble the fried slices of bread. Then add the chopped walnuts, red pepper paste, cumin, salt, chopped garlic, lemon olive oil. Mix them well. Serve with chopped walnuts and red pepper flakes.
